Nike said it best…

Stephanie Joanne

The one thing I can tell you about myself is that I am a freaking Doer.

Yepp, just like that. If I want something, I make it happen and I get it done. This isn’t to say that I’m not a Dreamer sometimes as well. I actually believe there is a spectrum and that no one is completely one or the other.

Are you a dreamer?

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you a visionary?
  • Do you start things often?
  • Do you generate a ton of ideas and see opportunities everywhere?
  • Are you positive?
  • Do you lose interest once the “vision” phase is over and implementation begins?
  • Do you feel like you break promises?
  • Are you spread too thin?

If you’ve answered “yes” to most of these questions… then you need to acquaint yourself with a DOER.

One day over a greasy breakfast, one of my mentors gave me some valuable advice… Read more.

Stephanie Joanne

This is perhaps one of the trickiest topics within my world. I deal with it every day. The first thought that comes to mind is BS!

Self-perception is usually a COMPLETE DISASTER. We (yes, myself included) are a wild mess when it comes to how we feel we look. However, this is real and as much as we don’t want to admit it to ourselves, we need to get a handle on it.

I am going to share some tools and tips to help you look better by THINKING better. How? Well, as you can probably agree, when you feel like you are looking better (to whichever standards you set for yourself) then the positive momentum of eating well and working out just rolls much smoother. On the contrary, when you feel like crap… you eat crap and do pretty much nothing other than feel like crap. Here we have the dreaded rut.

I really feel that the way to get fit starts with my thoughts. If I can turn those around, my body will just go along for the ride. The quicker you are able to tell your brain to shut up with the negativity the quicker you will be on the road to success.

I know, it’s easier said than done. What’s the trick? It’s all about control. The more control you believe you have over your actions (what you do and what you eat) the more control you will have over your thoughts and then, in turn, over your body.

Stephanie Joanne- Power

Ready for a big time personal confession?

Power is something that really turns me on!

First of all, let me define what being powerful means to me. For me, power means having control. When I have power, I control what I do, what I don’t do, how I spend my time, and (most importantly) whom I spend my time with. I don’t have to be anywhere I don’t want to be or with anyone I don’t want to be with. This applies to jobs, relationships, and anything else for that matter.

I want YOU to feel this way about your life.

Here are some tips to help you become powerful:

1. Get over the idea that everyone is going to and needs to like you

This is a hard one BUT it’s true. The sooner you can accept this the sooner things will turn around for you. The most important thing is that YOU are okay with who you are. The people in your life who matter will accept you ;)

2. Network the crap outta every opportunity

This is the key to everything. If you fail to see beyond the surface of what you THINK people can “do for you,” you are missing out on major contacts and future opportunities. I’m not telling you to USE people and get rid of them once you get what you want. NOT AT ALL! Rather, I’m telling you NOT to discount anyone because everyone has their own strengths and can offer you SOMETHING, no matter how small it is. Read the full article here
